I chose this month’s theme. As I’ve come along in my photography journey, I’ve come to realize that it’s not always fun having to schedule sessions around times of the day with good lighting, or finding locations with good lighting. I’d get requests for specific locations that just wouldn’t have good light. So, I quickly realized that if I didn’t want to constantly be a slave to good natural light, I’d need to learn to create my own.
I’m not going to lie, it can be a pain lugging around a good light and softbox, but it really is worth it. I can also create unique lighting scenarios, which scratches that creative itch. It’s really fun to brainstorm ways to creatively light a subject.
